Poesias do mundo (Poems of the world)

The MED Festival transcends the mere musical experience. Among its many facets, the event ‘Poesias do Mundo’ (a project created and promoted by Tápê, from Loulé) stands out. Present at this festival since 2016, and attended by more than a hundred authors/reciters, amateurs and professionals, representing more than two dozen different nationalities, it is a space where words, books, poetry, and love for culture intertwine harmoniously, offering visitors yet another differentiating ingredient.

In the year in which the MED Festival celebrates its twentieth anniversary and Portugal celebrates fifty years of the “Carnation Revolution”, there could be no more appropriate theme than “FREEDOM”. All participants will recite (some) poetry alluding to this theme, further enriching the cultural experience provided by the festival.
