MED FESTIVAL

It is a World Music festival that establishes itself as a European reference, with a distinctive concept and a strong identity that made it gain high international notoriety. Annually, at the end of June, the Historic Area of Loulé is not only invaded by sounds from different parts of the world but also by colours, flavours and odours that reflect the cultural diversity, which is the hallmark of the event.

In addition to a musical line-up that brings the biggest names in the World Music industry to Portugal, this festival also features a fusion of cultural events ranging from gastronomy to the visual arts, street entertainment, handicrafts, dance, cinema, poetry, conferences and much more, with the clear aim of promoting intercultural understanding, unity among peoples and tolerance.
