The MED Festival is one of the events with the higher financial impact in the region, which brings high levels of notoriety to the Algarve.

As part of the cultural program of a region focused on tourism, this event has strongly contributed to attracting more visitors to the Algarve and the country and to boosting the local economy, having been included by Turismo de Portugal in the Portuguese Music Festivals platform, restricted to around a dozen festivals.

Under the EFFE European Festivals Label, promoted by EFA – European Festivals Associations), Festival MED was distinguished with the EFFE Label  “European Festival Label”, for the years 2019 and 2020.
