Poesias do mundo (Poems of the world)

The MED Festival transcends the mere musical experience. Among its many facets, the event ‘Poesias do Mundo’ (a project created and promoted by Tápê, from Loulé) stands out. Present at this festival since 2016, and attended by more than a hundred authors/reciters, amateurs and professionals, representing more than two dozen different nationalities, it is a space where words, books, poetry, and love for culture intertwine harmoniously, offering visitors yet another differentiating ingredient.

At the 21st Edition of the MED Festival, the highlight will be Cape Verde. Poems and prose by Cape Verdean authors will be recited in both Portuguese and Creole, as well as works by writers of other nationalities.
