This afro-futuristic sound project results from the collaboration between Ghanaian rapper and multi-instrumentalist K.O.G (Kweku Sackey) and British musician and producer Tom Excell, who with the help of bandmates Finn Booth (Nubiyan Twist) and Wonky Logic (Steam Down) created and found a perfect balance between African groove and London electronic music. They performed for the first time in 2018, at The Great Escape Festival, in Brighton, and since then they have toured the most diverse festivals around the world, having been invited by the African Express organization, led by Damon Albarn, to participate in the concert commemorating the 100th anniversary of Nelson Mandela. The first album, We No Be Machine, was released in 2020, and a new work, called Tapes of Utopia, was released the following year, mixing genres as different as afrobeat, highlife and soukous with rap and electronic music, in a party full of colour and energy that now arrives at the Festival MED to get everyone dancing.
