Established in 2017, DUO GUIRIMBADU invites us to a repertoire of structuring improvisations on classical music and melodic themes of ethnic inspiration or even thematic “songs” aimed at the construction of traditional sounds, in a proposal to rescue a strong contemporary musicality.

Over the last few years, DUO GUIRIMBADU has been consolidating its activities thanks to research work on themes that intertwine and emerge in an innovative artistic expression, the result of the integration of guitar and marimba sounds.

The success of their performances results from the interpretive virtuosity of the instrumentalists Eudoro Grade on guitar and Vasco Ramalho on marimba and from the music typical of contemporary works by international and national composers, which include composers from the Algarve in particular, thus proposing a crossing the voice of contemporary melody with a commitment to the future.
