Born in 2016 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the band El Sonidero Insurgente has been winning fans thanks to a vibrant fusion of danceable Latin American folk, rock attitude and urban melodies that intertwine with lyrics that tell the stories about the Latin America's great neighbourhoods. The group's highlight is their unique and infectious live show, full of energy, cumbias, ska, reggae and Afro rhythms, creating a true celebration of dance and joy.

El Sonidero Insurgente's line-up includes Marcos Rodriguez (vocals/guitar), Fede Vazquez (keyboard/accordion), Walter Chamorro (trombone/guitar), Cheru Santillán (drums) and Alan Cáceres (bass). Since its creation, the band has released three albums, an EP, as well as several singles and music videos. With a wide international reach, the group has performed in important theatres and clubs on the Argentinian music circuit, making several tours of Europe and playing in more than 25 cities. tournées pela Europa e tocando em mais de 25 cidades.

In 2022, El Sonidero Insurgente released the album ‘Trinchera’, produced by the renowned El Chávez (No Te Va a Gustar, Kapanga, Árbol). They are currently promoting their latest cumbias EP, ‘Sacudiendo al Barrio’, consolidating their musical proposal in an increasingly global way.
