The American singer, pianist and composer returns to Portugal to present the latest High Priestess, published this year and which won over critics, with some comparing McCoy to names like Billie Holiday, Nina Simone and even Tom Waits. Sarah McCoy has established herself in just a few years as one of the most extravagant figures in alternative music, largely because of her live shows, which quickly become unforgettable experiences of enormous intensity for the public.
As in the previous work, blood siren, also this album was produced by Renaud Letang (Feist, Manu Chao, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jane Birkin) and by the renowned Canadian pianist Chilly Gonzales with whom Sarah McCoy crossed paths in 2017 at the ARTE Concert festival in Paris, and with whom she has since went on to share stages all over the world. After having explored a more intimate and confessional aspect on his debut album, he has now evolved to a new level of composition, marked by a more electronic sound that has already begun to conquer new audiences, as was noticed during the national mini-tour that at the beginning this year the artist from New Orleans performed in some Portuguese rooms.
