The short career, which started only in 2018, did not prevent this talented duo, composed of Sabela Caamaño (chromatic accordion) and Antía Ameixeiras (violin and voice), from becoming one of the leading figures of the new generation of musicians who have renewed and reinvented the most traditional sounds of Galicia. A journey essentially made live, an environment in which their music of an (almost only) instrumental nature gains new strength and a language of its own, due to the way in which they understand tradition “as something alive and in constant change”. In short, instead of limiting themselves to replicating what has already been done by many for so long, they add some surgical contemporary elements to Galician folklore, through very unique compositions and arrangements, increasingly easily identifiable as their own. Proof of this is the acclaimed and award-winning debut album (and only so far) Air!, produced by the renowned Spanish musician Diego Galaz and featuring the Catalan singer Sílvia Pérez Cruz.
