Poesias do mundo (Poems of the world)

The MED Festival transcends the mere musical experience. Among its multiple facets, the “Poesias do Mundo” event stands out (a project created and promoted by Louletano, Tápê). Present at this festival since 2016, and where more than a hundred authors/reciters, amateurs and professionals passed through, representing more than two dozen different nationalities, it is a space where the word, the book, poetry, and the love for culture they intertwine harmoniously, offering the visitor yet another differentiating ingredient.

In the year in which the MED Festival celebrates its twentieth anniversary and Portugal celebrates fifty years of the “Carnation Revolution”, there could be no more appropriate theme than “FREEDOM”. All participants will recite (some) poetry alluding to this theme, further enriching the cultural experience provided by the festival.
