The list of finalists for the 8th edition of the Iberian Festival Awards was announced today and the news is good for Loul\u00e9 as the municipality will be present in seven categories, with four of its anchor events: MED Festival, Som Riscado \u2013 Music Festival and Image, White Night Algarve \u2013 Loul\u00e9 and Loul\u00e9 Carnival.<\/p>\n

Among the applications promoted by the Municipality of Loul\u00e9, the MED Festival stands out, which appears as a finalist in five categories. They are Best Medium-Sized Festival, Best Tourist Promotion, Best Cultural Program, Contribution to Sustainability and Best Lusophone and Hispanic Festival. In each of these categories, MED is a candidate for final victory, alongside nine other festivals from Portugal and Spain, including Cooljazz, Festival Tomavistas, La Mar de M\u00fasicas, Neopop Festival, FMM Sines \u2013 Festival M\u00fasicas do Mundo, Meo Kalorama, Noches del Bot\u00e1nico, PortAm\u00e9rica or SON Estrella Galicia Posidonia.<\/p>\n

This year Som Riscado \u2013 Music and Image Festival continues to appear in the group of most voted, this time in the category of Best \u201cElectronic Act\u201d. The performance of Stereosauro ft. Ana Magalh\u00e3es in the 2023 edition, which took place in November, thrilled the public, drawing the attention of critics, and deserved recognition from those who voted to determine the finalists of these Iberian. To win this final, Som Riscado will have to beat other performances by big names in electronic music such as The Chemical Brothers (Bilbao BBK Live) or Underworld (Cala Mijas Festival).<\/p>\n

In the Best Festivity category, the municipality of Loul\u00e9 will have two luxury representatives in the grand final. On the one hand, the oldest race in the country, the Loul\u00e9 Carnival, a parade where political, social and sporting satire and the beauty of the floats attract thousands to the Loul\u00e9 \u201csambadrome\u201d; on the other hand, the pioneer Noite Branca Algarve \u2013 Loul\u00e9 which, since 2007, has won over the public due to the surprise factor of its program, assuming itself as the \u201cofficial farewell party of the Algarve summer\u201d.<\/p>\n

Remember that on the night of March 15th the winners of the 8th Iberian Festival Awards will be announced, at a gala that will take place in the Spanish city of Granada.<\/p>\n

Promoted by Aporfest \u2013 Portuguese Association of Music Festivals, the Iberian Festival Awards aim to recognize the contributions of event promoters and organizers and other protagonists in the festival industry.
